Specializing in sports, orthopedic, and neurological acupuncture, and with a background in internal medicine, Dr. Tyler provides a personalized approach, taking time to ensure clients receive optimal care.
Functional movement screens, and orthopedic and postural alignment assessments determine quality of movement, range of motion, and mobility and motor control. Movement assessments guide treatment strategies for each client, and following treatment patterns are retested to evaluate change.
Dr. Tyler uses a multitude of treatment modalities to effectively address a variety of conditions and guide clients along their journey to reclaim their health, quality of movement, strength, and therefore independence. Rooted in both Chinese and Western medicine, his practice takes into account the individual as a whole, the community, and the environment.
Based in Oakland’s Temescal District, Dr. Tyler is the official acupuncturist for the Oakland Roots SC, and Oakland Ballers professional baseball team.
