Tyler combines a multitude of treatment modalities to effectively address a variety of medical conditions. Through acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, herbal medicine, nutritional counseling and Tui Na massage clients are guided along their journey to reclaiming their health, strength, balance and independence.
Tyler specializes in neurological acupuncture which addresses conditions in both the central and peripheral nervous systems. His background is in internal medicine, women's health, and acute and chronic pain. Tyler's understanding of health and medicine is rooted in both Chinese and Western medicine and healing practices that take into account the individual as a whole, the community, and the environment.
In 2020, Tyler completed a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) and Master's of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM) at San Francisco's American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM). Afterwards, he completed the Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture program with Dr. Poney Chiang. In 2014, he completed a three year program and received a certificate in Western herbal medicine from the Berkeley Herbal Center. At the same time, he completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training to strengthen his knowledge around the eight limbs of yoga and how they can be applied to clinical practice. In addition, he completed an Associates degree in Latin American studies and also focused in drawing, painting, and music.
