About

     Tyler specializes in both neurological and sport acupuncture, and with a background in internal medicine he is able to effectively treat both symptoms and root causes of a variety of medical conditions.  In neurological acupuncture, he addresses conditions in both the central and peripheral nervous systems.  His clientele include youth and adults with acute and chronic neurological ailments.  In sports medicine, he utilizes both acupuncture and herbal remedies to treat acute and chronic pain and keep athletes and anyone into fitness in optimal health.  While focusing in these specialties, his background in internal medicine and women's health allows him to understand the whole picture of each client.

 

Education

     In 2020, Tyler completed a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) and Master's of Science degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM) at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) in San Francisco.  After receiving his license he completed the Neuro-Meridian Integrative Acupuncture program with Dr. Poney Chiang.  He has studied sports acupuncture with Whitfield Reaves and is a candidate for completing a certificate in sports acupuncture.  In 2014, he completed a three year certified program in Western clinical herbal medicine at the Berkeley Herbal Center.  He has completed 500-hours of yoga teacher training to strengthen his knowledge how the eight limbs of yoga can be applied to clinical practice.  In addition, he completed an Associates degree in Latin American studies and also studied drawing, painting, and music.
